Marriages have their ups and downs but can something as simple as bulking up muscles help you get your marriage back in shape?? Yes and no. The thing is that marriages are often the victims of how the people in the marriages feel about themselves. There’s always a little more than just pumping a little iron and beefing up the muscles involved. However, doing those things can help your self-image improve and, by association, your marriage – because the two are so deeply intertwined.
Men are not always thought of as people who suffer from the problems brought about by a poor body image but it’s more common than most people realize. 1) Set goals. Be specific with your goals. You want to gain so many inches of muscle mass and you’re going to do X, Y, and Z exercises on these days each week in order to accomplish that goal. It will make a huge difference in your chances of success if you spend a little time coming up with these specific goals ahead of time.
2) Be realistic with your expectations. Rome wasn’t built in a day. A perfectly sculpted body is a work of art and it’s going to take time to accomplish the goals you have set for yourself.
3) Seek the right support system. There are professionals who have dedicated their lives to helping people accomplish their fitness goals. Seek out those invaluable services. If you go to them with the list of goals you have, the exercises you’ve been doing to accomplish those goals, and ask them if you’ve developed an effective method for achieving your goals you’ll probably get a lot of constructive help that will allow you to accomplish your goals even faster.
4) Eat. I know, it sounds counter-intuitive but it’s a necessity. Muscles, even in resting states, consume calories. You need to be give your muscles something to feed on. Lean proteins are the perfect fuel for building muscle. That’s why so many bodybuilders are always walking around with protein shakes in hand.
When it comes to saving your marriage, it really can be as simple as developing that better body image. Just remember that you have a flesh and blood wife that loves you.
